Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Alliances
Experience: 10+ years
EigenRisk is hiring a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Alliances to own the end-to-end lifecycle of our data, model, and channel partnerships. This is a senior leadership role responsible for identifying, structuring, closing, and operationalizing partnerships with the providers of hazard data, catastrophe models, geospatial datasets, climate analytics, and related risk intelligence that our customers rely on every day.
The initial focus of this role is our data and model vendor ecosystem – the third-party content and analytics that ride on top of EigenPrism. Over time, the scope is expected to expand to include broader technology and channel alliances. You will be the single point of accountability from first conversation through signed agreement, technical integration, and ongoing partner success.
Responsibilities:
Partnership Strategy & Sourcing
Define and execute EigenRisk’s data and model partnership strategy – covering hazard data providers, catastrophe model vendors, geospatial and climate data sources, and complementary risk analytics providers.
Identify, qualify, and prioritize new partners aligned with EigenPrism’s product roadmap and market strategy, customer demand, and peril coverage gaps (earthquake, wind, flood, wildfire, severe convective storm, climate-conditioned perils, and emerging perils).
Track the rapidly evolving AI and ML landscape in risk analytics – including AI-native data providers, ML-enhanced cat models, foundation-model-driven hazard intelligence, and generative-AI-enabled workflows – and bring the right partners into the EigenPrism ecosystem.
Build and maintain a structured partnership pipeline with clear stage gates, economics, and executive-level reporting.
Represent EigenRisk with vendor executives, research labs, modeling firms, and data providers at industry events and partner briefings.
Deal Structuring & Commercial Ownership
Partner with Legal, Finance, and Product to structure licensing agreements, model or data distribution arrangements, OEM deals, wholesale/resell terms, and technology integration contracts.
Own commercial modeling for each partnership: license fees, revenue sharing, and marketing and attribution obligations for customer-facing offerings.
Negotiate terms that protect our ability to productize, price, and support partner content inside EigenPrism while delivering fair economics to partners.
Implementation & Integration Oversight
Quarterback the integration phase for each partnership – coordinating with Product and Solutions team to ingest, validate, and productize partner data and models inside EigenPrism.
Translate partner deliverables (data schemas, model outputs, update cadences, documentation) into clear requirements in collaboration with the Product team; remove blockers and drive decisions across stakeholders.
Ensure partner content is onboarded with the right QA, metadata, documentation, and customer-facing enablement to go-live successfully.
Productization & Go-to-Market Enablement
Partner with Product and Marketing to position partner-sourced content inside EigenPrism – including naming, packaging, pricing tiers, and customer messaging.
Enable EigenRisk’s Sales and Customer Success teams with internal trainings, partner content knowledge, use cases, and differentiated value stories.
Support sales goals and planning, targeting EigenRisk’s clients and prospects, aligned with the agreed-to partnership go-to-market strategy and goals.
Support joint announcements, co-marketing initiatives, and customer briefings where partner content is a differentiator.
Ongoing Partner Management & Governance
Own the ongoing relationship with each partner: usage and sales reporting requirements, business reviews, roadmap alignment, data quality and delivery SLAs, escalations, and renewal conversations.
Track partner performance against agreed KPIs (customer adoption of partner content, revenue influenced, data freshness and quality, integration health).
Continuously refine the partner program – tiering, compliance and diligence processes, contract templates, onboarding playbooks – as the function scales and the scope expands into broader technology and channel alliances.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in partnerships, alliances, business development, or vendor management — with at least 5 years working directly with data, analytics, or modeling vendors in insurance, reinsurance, InsurTech, financial services, or adjacent B2B SaaS.
Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex data licensing, model redistribution, or OEM agreements with measurable commercial impact.
End-to-end ownership mindset – comfortable moving from executive negotiation to hands-on integration coordination without handing the relationship off.
Deep domain fluency in the geospatial catastrophe risk analytics ecosystem: hazard data providers, cat modeling firms, location attribute, and climate data sources, and the difference between raw data, derived data, and model outputs.
Strong commercial instincts – ability to structure creative licensing terms (flat fee, per-seat, per-use, revenue share, tiered) and understand the downstream pricing implications for our customers, particularly with respect to insurance industry use-cases.
Technical literacy sufficient to evaluate data schemas, model documentation, API integrations, and update cadences; able to speak credibly with Product and Engineering.
AI fluency and mindset – genuine curiosity about and working knowledge of AI/ML in the risk analytics context. Able to evaluate the credibility of AI-powered data products and models (training data, validation, explainability, bias, hallucination risk), distinguish hype from real capability, and form a clear point of view on where AI adds durable value versus where traditional methods remain superior. Actively uses modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) in day-to-day work to research partners, synthesize technical documentation, accelerate deal workflows, and drive personal productivity.
Excellent executive communication – able to build trust with C-level counterparts at data and modeling vendors and internally.
Self-starter who thrives in building a function from the ground up – equally comfortable owning strategy, executing the details, and growing and leading a team as the scope expands.
Preferred Skills
Direct experience with catastrophe modeling vendors (e.g., Moody’s RMS, Verisk/AIR, CoreLogic, KatRisk, Reask, or similar).
Experience with hazard, climate, or geospatial data providers (satellite imagery, LiDAR, property characteristics, climate scenarios, etc.).
Experience evaluating or partnering with AI/ML-native analytics vendors, foundation-model providers, or ML-driven cat modeling firms.
Prior experience building a partnerships or vendor ecosystem function from early stage at a high-growth B2B SaaS or analytics company.
Existing relationships with decision-makers at major data and model vendors serving the insurance industry.
MBA or equivalent; technical background (engineering, actuarial, GIS, data science) a plus.
How We Will Measure Success
Number of closed partnership agreements that fill known product or peril gaps.
Time-to-integration from signed agreement to partner content live and usable by customers inside EigenPrism.
Commercial health of the vendor book: renewal rates, improved economics on legacy agreements, and customer adoption of partner content.
Data and model quality: delivery reliability, SLA adherence, and reduction in integration or data quality escalations.
A documented, scalable partner program — diligence playbook, contract templates, onboarding runbook – that supports future expansion into broader technology and channel alliances.
What we offer
Competitive base salary, performance bonus, and meaningful equity.
Comprehensive healthcare coverage.
Remote-first culture with flexible time off.
A high-leverage role with direct executive visibility and the opportunity to define a function from the ground up.
The chance to shape the data and model ecosystem that powers catastrophe risk decisions across the global insurance industry.
