McKinney Fire Spreads Rapidly in North California

According to Cal Fire, a wildfire in Northern California being called as Mckinney Fire, grew significantly over the weekend, forcing evacuations and making it the largest blaze in the state so far this year.

The Fire, which erupted on Friday afternoon in the Klamath National Forest close to the California–Oregon border, destroyed more than 52,000 acres of land. Along with deterioration of land and property, a portion of Highway 96 is shut due to the blaze.

It is difficult to cease the fire due to lighting conditions, more than 2,000 residents were evacuated on Saturday.
