Magnitude 6.7 Earthquake Samoa, Tsunami Warnings Lifted

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck American Samoa and Tonga on Sunday, December 4th. An initial tsunami warning for American Samoa was later lifted. In immediate reports, no damage or injuries were reported.  

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 22.4 miles beneath the water, approximately 167.3 miles southwest of Tafuna in American Samoa. The epicenter of the earthquake was 67 miles north-northeast of Hihifo in Tonga.
