Daniel is a commercial leader specializing in catastrophe risk, geospatial analytics and insurance technology. As VP of Sales, EMEA at EigenRisk, he leads the company’s commercial growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, helping insurers, reinsurers, MGAs and brokers transform how they understand, quantify and manage risk.
With more than 20 years’ experience in insurance and technology, Daniel has built a reputation for bringing innovative solutions to market, combining strategic commercial leadership with a hands-on approach to business development. He has worked extensively across catastrophe modelling, exposure management, underwriting technology, Earth observation and connected mobility, partnering with organisations across the global insurance ecosystem.
Prior to joining EigenRisk, Daniel was Chief Revenue Officer at Maptycs, where he led all revenue-generating functions and established the commercial foundations that supported the company’s growth. Earlier roles at McKenzie Intelligence Services, ICEYE, Nauto and The Floow gave him broad experience helping insurers, brokers, MGAs and corporate risk managers adopt new technologies to improve underwriting, risk selection, claims response and portfolio management.
Outside of EigenRisk, Daniel hosts the Humanising Insurance podcast, where he speaks with leaders from across the industry about their careers, leadership and the people behind insurance. Based in the UK, he enjoys golf and spending time outdoors with his wife and two young sons.
