Suspected Tornado Rips Through Pensacola, Leaving Buildings Damaged and Injuries Reported
On Tuesday evening, a suspected tornado tore through a neighborhood near Pensacola, Florida, causing significant damage to multiple buildings. The powerful storm struck the Ferry Pass community, particularly impacting Copter Road, and severely damaging a metal structure. The storm’s force ripped through metal beams, scattering insulation and debris across the parking lot.
Authorities have confirmed multiple injuries at the scene, with Escambia County EMS providing immediate medical assistance. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Mobile, Alabama, has announced plans to deploy a storm survey team on Wednesday morning to assess the extent of the damage and determine if a tornado was responsible for the destruction, as well as to estimate its strength.
