The Post Fire in California, which started on June 15, 2024, near Gorman, has led to significant evacuations and damage. The fire’s rapid expansion prompted the closure of Interstate 5 and the evacuation of the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area. Two commercial buildings have been reported as damaged, and the fire poses a threat to additional structures. The fire has caused the evacuation of approximately 1,200 people and has burned over 15,000 acres in Gorman area and 1013 acres in Sonoma. No casualties were reported.
