The northwest of Japan has been severely affected by intense rainfall, resulting in destructive floods and mudslides. The Fire and Disaster Management Agency reported the tragic toll of at least six fatalities, with five individuals still missing and 19 others injured. Over the past few days, certain areas in Fukuoka have received an exceptional amount of rainfall, exceeding 23.6 inches, which surpasses the typical expectations for the entire month of July in that region.
