Typhoon Nanmadol made Landfall in Japan
Typhoon Nanmadol made landfall near the city of Kagoshima late on Sunday, leaving more than 300,000 homes in southwestern Japan, including Fukuoka and Nagasaki, without electricity. It has winds of at least 180 km/h.
Certain places in the impacted area, are expected to get 20 inches of rain throughout the course of Sunday and Monday.
Numerous landslides and significant floods are anticipated, and hundreds of flights, ferries, and bullet train services have been canceled. At least four million residents have received an order to leave their houses.
The storm is currently traversing Kyushu, the third-largest island in Japan, and is predicted to produce heavy rainfall all week.
