Tropical Storm Intensified to Become Hurricane Earl

According to the National Hurricane Center, tropical storm Earl has now become a hurricane, with sustained winds of 80 mph and considerably faster gusts.

This Storm developed in the south of the Caribbean on September 2, 2022, and as of now, is moving north at 6 mph. Hurricane Earl is expected to intensify into a strong Category 3 hurricane as it passes east of Bermuda Thursday night.

In the next 48 to 60 hours, Earl’s center is predicted to move southeast of Bermuda. However, the Bermuda Weather Service has issued a tropical storm watch since it expects the hurricane’s wind field to grow dramatically. From there, the storm is predicted to continue northeast, away from any landmass.
